- Conception, design, and simulation of optical systems for high-precision measurements

Experimental setup, characterization, and optimization of laser sensor prototypes

Development and validation of measurement and evaluation methods

Documentation of development steps as well as analysis and interpretation of test results

Transfer of research results into market-ready products

Project management tasks: planning, coordination, and supervision of development projects, plus communication with internal and external stakeholders

Responsibility for the procurement of technical components: clarification of optical specifications, evaluation & selection of suitable suppliers, as well as coordination & negotiation
YOUR PROFILE
- Degree in Physics or a related field with a focus on Optics, Photonics, or Laser Technology

Several years of professional experience (minimum 3 years) in the development of optical systems, ideally in interferometric measurement technology

Work experience in a small company or start-up environment

Knowledge of simulation software
-
Creative and analytical working style, with enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration

Very good command of both German and English
We offer a full-time position in a young, highly interesting work environment with attractive pay. For this position, a minimum annual gross salary of EUR 70,000 (full-time) is offered. In addition, we provide a market-based overpayment depending on qualifications and experience.
