Joint FFG bridge project between XARION and Recendt

XARION and Recendt have a common goal within an FFG research project: the targeted and efficient generation of ultrasonic waves in a limited frequency band adapted to the detection or method by a new excitation laser. By increasing the ultrasonic wave energy we are able to specifically excite phenomena such as resonances and nonlinearities without damaging the material under investigation. This opens up completely new fields of application in the non-destructive testing of aircraft components, gas pressure tanks for energy storage (H₂) or even microsatellites.
