XARION Technology Featured in New DGZfP Guideline on Air-Coupled Ultrasonic Testing

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Zerstörungsfreie Prüfung (DGZfP) has published its first guideline on Air-Coupled Ultrasonic Testing (ACUT), highlighting XARION’s laser-based ultrasound technology. As a leading organization in non-destructive testing, the DGZfP sets standards for modern inspection methods. The inclusion of our contact-free ultrasound inspection in this guideline underscores the importance of laser technology as an innovative solution.

As part of the guideline development, a 3 mm thick polymer reference plate with defined defects was inspected. XARION’s LEAsys system delivered an image nearly indistinguishable from the technical drawing—demonstrating the high precision and resolution of this method.
